Laos triumphs over Mongolia in football friendly

The Lao football team is eagerly anticipating its friendly match with Brunei on March 27 after beating Mongolia 1-0 in a friendly game on Wednesday.
The football matches are part of the Lao squad’s preparations for the 31st South-East Asian (SEA) Games, which take place in Vietnam from May 12-23.
The Lao Football Federation (LFF) met with trainers and Lao footballers on Tuesday before they squared off against Mongolia and gave 100 million kip to the players after they beat Mongolia 1-0.
The team’s head coach, Mr Michael Weiss, will continue to work with the players to improve their skills before they travel to Vietnam.
The Lao squad have had recent experience of international competition at the AFF Under-23 Championship in Cambodia, which took place last month.
They also competed at the AFF Suzuki Cup 2020, which took place in Singapore in December.
