Lao futsal teams to compete for Revive Cup

A total of 16 teams from Vientiane will compete in the Revive Futsal Cup 2022, with matches taking place from July 30 to September 3.
The tournament will be arranged and hosted by the Lao Football Federation (LFF) and take place at its indoor stadium.
The Federation held a press conference on Tuesday to report on preparations for the event and announced which teams will play in the four groups of the competition.
The draw was attended by the Vice President of the LFF, Mr Pasith Souphab, other officials, and team representatives.
The Lao Brewery Company will support the tournament with 100 million kip.
Each group comprises four teams, which will all compete in the selection round, with the teams placed first and second going through to the second round.
The winning team will receive a cup and a cash prize, while the second and third placed teams will get smaller cash prizes.
There will also be awards for the best trainer, top goalkeeper, and top goal scorer, while the best behaved player will get a cup.
There has been a dearth of futsal competitions over the past two years because of the Covid outbreak, so this tournament will be a great opportunity for players to get together and pit their skills against one another.
