Football activity celebrates Laos-Vietnam solidarity

Six football teams from the Ministry of Education and Sports, the Vietnamese business community and Vientiane on Friday took part in a football event organised by the Private Education Association and the Ministry of Education and Sports.
The activity was organised to celebrate Laos-Vietnam Solidarity and Friendship Year, the 45th anniversary of the signing of the Laos-Vietnam friendship and cooperation treaty, and the 60th anniversary of Laos-Vietnam diplomatic relations.
Afterwards, a group of Lao students gave a performance of traditional dance and songs.
Trophies were presented to the six football teams by the Minister of Education and Sports, Associate Prof. Dr Phout Simmalavong, in the presence of the Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos, Mr Nguyen Ba Hung, and President of the Private Education Association, Dr Khamsen Sisavong. 
Private schools from around country and companies donated more than 50 million kip in support of the event.
