Rafael named top League 1 scorer this week

Top scorer in the Pepsi Lao Premier League 1 this week, Master 7 FC’s renowned striker Rafael de Sa Rodrigues, has scored a total of eight goals.
However, none of these occurred during the League 1 game on Saturday, when Young Elephants FC drew against Master 7 FC 0-0 at the National Stadium.
The match was watched by at least 8,600 fans when it was live streamed and was one of many matches staged by the Lao Football Federation in the past 13 weeks.
Upcoming League 1 games see Ezra FC take on Army FC at the National Stadium on June 22, while on June 25 Master 7 FC will face Luang Prabang FC, also at the National Stadium. On June 26 Champassak FC will pit their strength against Ezra FC at the provincial stadium.
All of these matches are part of the second leg of League 1.
When the League 1 competition has ended, the provinces will also try out their best players in League 1 games in Vientiane, with a view to making selections for their teams competing at the National Games in Xieng Khuang province in December.
