New wave of wedding organiser in Laos
Event organisers aren’t a new thing, but many people think that an organiser is someone who just sets up a concert or other public event.
Mr Kaekkham Khanlaya, better known as Aek Seeme, is the founder of the Seeme Restaurant at the 3434 Beer Garden.
After the restaurant was running smoothly, Aek Seeme decided to follow his dream, to create magnificent weddings and events for couples as a once in a lifetime occasion. The journey of this dream and his new career began in 2019 and is still continuing.

Many people wonder an organiser/wedding planner actually does. Is such a person really necessary? Aek Seeme said these are some of the questions often asked by followers on his Facebook fan page and also his friends.
“Can you imagine the old way of arranging a wedding? The couple and the family have to prepare and deal with everything themselves, which can be an exhausting process. But if you use a wedding planner or organiser, they will take care of everything from deciding on the theme of the wedding and every other aspect of the big day until the couple finally retires to bed.
Seeme Wedding Planner can give you more than you imagine possible. Seeme is a consultant, a finder of a wedding dress, and an adviser on etiquette, and anything else the couple want him to be.
The things that make Seeme outstanding are his services.
“We treat our customers like our family, sister to sister, brother to brother, to get the best results and create fantastic memories for all our customers as brothers and sisters,” he says.
The scope of services provided by wedding planners and organisers is wide and varied.
Seeme has organised small events to launch products as well as birthday parties and anniversaries.
One of his main tasks is to arrange the timing of events and take special care of everything so that a vital spark is created, and Seeme is very particular about neatness and paying attention to detail.
His popularity as a wedding planner and organiser grew after he first got the opportunity to organise weddings in 2019, and he has been hired by 70-80 couples each year.
While this was a new career path for Seeme, the opportunities presented by a good marriage and the cooperation of so many people led him to become a complete wedding planner and organiser.
Aek Seeme said that after he is hired by a couple, from the first day until the end of the ceremony, he is in touch with them every day to provide services as required. He goes to venues and events each day, checks the installations, talks to both sets of parents, and explains and visualises what the special day will be like.
Seeme considers himself to be very lucky to have found a job that stems from the concept of a love of caring for couples.
He believes that every couple wants to have a dream wedding and to make it the most special day in their lives.
“Come and talk to us because we are ready to help make that dream come true,” he says.
