The significant meeting between DPR Korea and the Lao PDR leader

On the occasion of 30th anniversary of the meeting between Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, the great leaders of the Korean people and Kaysone Phomvihane, former Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao PDR, April, 1992-April, 2022.
This year is a significant year marking the 30th anniversary of the meeting between Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, the great leaders of the Korean people and Kaysone Phomvihane, the Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and the President of the Lao PDR who visited the DPR Korea for the 4th time in April, 1992.
Kaysone Phomvihane made an official friendly visit to the DPR Korea with a large-scale delegation of the Party and State officials of Laos at the auspicious historic time when the Korean people was celebrating the 80th birth anniversary of Kim IL Sung, the great leader of the Korean people.
His visit was of warm congratulation to the significant national holiday of the Korean people and also of strong support for the Party, State and people who are vigorously advancing towards the socialist cause.
During his visit, Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il met with him several times with warm hospitality and built a close friendship.
Kaysone Phomvihane, during his stay in Korea, expressed his heart-felt congratulations to Kim Il Sung for his 80th birth anniversary and honoured Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il with Lao highest order of medal and presents of sincerity,
He also joined the Korean people and enjoyed the celebrating events on the occasion of the 60th founding anniversary of the Korean People’s Army.
The relationship between the parties and states of the two countrieshas a long history rooted 57 years ago when President Kim Il Sung and the General Secretary Kaysone Phomvihane met with each other for the first time in Pyongyang, DPRK in October 1965.
At that historic meeting, President Kim Il Sung and President KaysonePhomvihane discussed deeply on the tasks of the Lao Party and people in their struggle and also discussed on the strategic and tactical issues to fulfil the tasks.
The Great Leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il developed successfully the traditional bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation with the successive leaders of Laos in the common struggle for socialism over the several generations.
Laos-Korea friendship stands steadfast on the strong will of the two countries’ leaders who are determined to advocate the achievements of the precedent leaders, and is steadily developing without any changes under the disruptive complex developments of the international situation.
Today, the bilateral friendship is brought to the renewed phase of development under the deep attention of the leaders of the parties and state of the two countries.
Laos-Korea bilateral relationship is developing in good faith across the various fields, including the regular congratulations, communications and exchange of high level delegations between the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and the Workers’ Party of Korea, and this excellent traditional relations of friendship and cooperation will continue to be further strengthened by the active efforts of the two countries.
The fraternal Korean people are sincerely congratulating the Party and people of Laos for their achievements in the struggle to fulfill the decisions of the 11th Congress of the Party by overcoming all the challenges and difficulties.
The Korean people are also rendering their support to the Party and Government of Laos in their struggle to strengthen and develop the social system of peoples’ democracy and bring about the prosperity of the country by smashing the moves of interference, disruption and social instability taken by all internal and external anti-socialism hostilities.
It is the unwavering stand and will of the Party and Government of two countries to further advance the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation to a higher level to meet the demand of the new era in conformity with the noble wills of the leaders of the two countries.
Korean people and Lao people will stand shoulder by shoulder with vigorously carry out the socialism construction, the common goal of the two countries while overcoming any challenges and difficulties.
Long live the permanent and immortal friendship and unity between Laos and the Korean people!
