Lao Young Designers to promote latest collections at pop-up store

After showcasing their latest collections at the Lao Fashion Week-2022 in February, and impressing the audience with their creativity members of the Lao Young Designers Project are now set to show their designs to the public.
To enable people to meet these designers and see their collections up close, Lao Young Designers will put up a pop-up store from 4-10 April at the Ministry of Silk’s flagship store on Norkeokoummane Street, Mixay village, and Vientiane.
Pop up store is one of activities to promote and support young designers of the project and encourage them to have a chance to meet their customers as well as having a place to display their collections, besides they sell by orders.
Twenty percent of the proceeds from the sales will go to the Lao Young Designers Project, a non-profit programme of Lao Fashion Week.
The pop-up store will feature collections from upcoming designers including, Tam, VINUS, Thaveth, KHAMPOUN, MANIVONE, SUDA x Soms studio, JATAVA, ESDÉ, LeLao, ArtD, and FEMEI.
“Many young designers do not have their own showrooms yet, the pop-up store will allow them to meet potential customers and create business networking opportunities,” said Ms Pany Saignavongs, founder and CEO of Lao Fashion Week and Lao Young Designers Project.
People who are keen to witness the exhibition can visit the pop-up store and meet designers from 9 am-9 pm between 4 and 10 April 2022.
Lao Young Designers Project is a non-profit programme of Lao Fashion Week, established in 2014 to develop human resources for the Lao fashion industry.
Many talented youngsters have received scholarships from Lao Fashion Week and its associates to study and train at various international fashion academies, including ESMOD Paris, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore, London College of Designers, Fashion Hanoi, Fashion Institute of Philippines Manila, and well-known fashion houses of Bangkok.
