XYZ Contemporary Art Exhibition to promote talented local artists
The XYZ Contemporary Art Exhibition, to be held at the Pakson Shopping Mall next month, will be a platform for promoting and supporting talented local artists.
The XYZ Art and Culture Centre is organising the exhibition and a representative of the organisation, Mr Tam Khounphouvong, said the event will promote the art and artists of Laos.
“The exhibition will add value and strengthen the local arts community through a minimal display event. It will fill up space with meaningful inspiring stories from artworks that convey modernity inspired by Lao traditions,” he said.
The XYZ Contemporary Art Exhibition will have four separate zones devoted to photography, textiles, painting and installation art that will promote local artists.
The exhibition will be held on the second floor of Pakson Shopping Mall during October 15-25 fr9m 9am-21:30pmand entry will be free. The opening ceremony will be held at the venue on October 13 from 4 pm to 5 pm.
The XYZ Art and Culture Centre had earlier called on Lao artists from different fields, especially installation art, photography, painting and textiles, to send their artworks and portfolios to the centre for participating in the exhibition.
The exhibition has received great support from sponsors, which will allow local artists to have a space to display their works.
