Contemporary Art Exhibition promotes local artists

The upcoming XYZ Contemporary Art Exhibition will help support talented Lao artists in fields such as photography and textiles.
A representative of the XYZ Art and Culture Centre, Mr Tam Khounphouvong, said the exhibition will have four zones devoted to photography, textiles, painting and installation art.
Besides promoting art and artists in Laos, the exhibition will help them add higher value to their work and strengthen the local art community by providing space to meaningful inspiring stories and artwork that portray modernity inspired by Lao traditions.
People will be able to learn the perspective of each generation of visual art through the artworks through the exhibition, which will be held on the second floor at Parks on during October 15-25. It will be open every day from 9 am to 9.30 pm.
Mr Tam urged the public to visit the exhibition and to help raise awareness of visual arts to promote talented Lao artists.
