Fanglao Dance company asks public to join Duo Dance contest
The Fanglao Dance Company has called on members of the public to join a Duo Dance contest that it is organising this month.
The co-founder and Director of the Fanglao Dance Company, Mr Ounla Phaoudom, encouraged young people to join the contest.
He said the contest will be part of various summer camp activities to be held by the Fanglao Dance Studio on the fourth floor of the Vientiane Center on August 27.
These activities will include dance performances by students of Fanglao Dance classes and dance teams from the company, such as DOV, Dominant, Precious and Hunter Queen. There will also be a musical performance by Ms Alizabet and a fashion show by My Style.
The Duo Dance contest is one of activities that is open to the public, and youngsters who like dancing should join the event to showcase their talents in dancing styles such as K-Pop, hip hop, jazz and modern.
The contest, which will start at 1 pm, is not limited by age or gender, and everyone can join it and show off their dance steps, he said. Each team participating in the event will get three minutes on stage.
People who are interested in dancing styles such as breakdance, hip hop, K-Pop and contemporary can also join classes by the Fanglao Dance Studio at Vientiane Center.
The Fanglao Dance Studio is open every Saturday to people who like dancing and young children who are free from school classes to learn the basics of dancing.
“We have dance classes for students aged more than six years old and for students aged more than 10 years at the Fanglao Dance Studio. Or they can follow our activities on the Facebook page of Fanglao Dance Studio,” Mr Ounla said.
